He will succeed Leanne Caret, who will retire later this year after a nearly 35-year career with the Chicago-based aerospace and defense contractor, Boeing said Monday.
Caret, a five-time Wash100 awardee, will serve as executive vice president and senior adviser to Boeing President and CEO David Calhoun to support talent acquisition, business continuity and leadership transition efforts until the date of her retirement.
Colbert has been serving as president and CEO of Boeing’s global services business since October 2019. He joined the company in 2009 and held senior leadership positions, including chief information officer and senior VP of information technology and data analytics and head of the company’s IT infrastructure organization.
He previously worked at Citigroup (NYSE: C) and Ford Motor (NYSE: F).
Stephanie Pope, VP and chief financial officer of Boeing’s commercial airplanes unit, will succeed Colbert as president and CEO of Boeing Global Services in April.
She has been with the company for over 20 years and held several leadership roles, including VP and CFO of BGS, VP of finance and controller for Boeing’s defense business and VP of investor relations.
