VT Group has changed its name to VTG and combined its enterprisewide capabilities under a single model for customer delivery as part of efforts to provide an expanded range of sustainment and engineering services to defense agency clients and reflect the platforms it now offers across aerospace, naval, network and digital domains.
The move comes after the company completed the integration of two acquired companies and won a string of contracts, VTG said Thursday.
“We are no longer a disparate group of companies but instead one enterprise working together towards a common mission: expanding America’s competitive advantage in the modern battlespace,” said John Hassoun, president and CEO of VTG.
VTG expanded its aerospace engineering portfolio with the acquisition of National Technologies Associates in January 2019 and broadened its fleet modernization offerings with its purchase of Delta Resources in October of last year. The company also secured several contracts, including a U.S. Navy contract for presidential helicopter support services and two contracts for the installation of C5ISR systems on Navy submarines, combat ships and shore installations.
“While the streamlined name VTG acknowledges the company’s 150-year legacy, the new brand reflects the full breadth and depth of our enterprise, as well as our enduring commitment to deliver the most advanced technologies to confront the next generation of threats,” said Sunil Ramchand, chief growth officer of VTG.
