Doug Kumbalek, most recently vice president of strategic growth at System High, has received a promotion to serve as the company’s executive vice president and chief strategy officer.
He will oversee System High’s strategic plan to create an impact on the national security sector and lead innovation efforts through its analytical research center in his new position, the global protection and security engineering services provider said Tuesday.
His duties cover business development, capture and proposal, strategic partnership and mentoring functions.
“Since joining System High in 2019, Doug has been instrumental in reinforcing our laser-focused growth path with proven processes executed by exceptional professionals throughout his functional area of responsibility,” said President and CEO Rob Howe.
Kumbalek previously spent more than 13 years at Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), where he oversaw operational support to the customers in the government.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an aviator and a pilot for the AH-1W Cobra attack helicopter.
