Steven Omick, former president of Vencore‘s internal research-and-development organization, will serve as president and CEO of New York-based nonprofit scientific research services company Riverside Research starting March 28.
He is a defense and intelligence technology research veteran with 28 years of experience and will succeed Richard Annas, who has served in the dual role over the past six years, Riverside Research said Monday.
Riverside Research focuses its research in areas such as biomedical engineering, cybersecurity,  electromagnetic sciences and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
Omick most recently led the Vencore Labs organization, formerly known as the Applied Communications Sciences business of Vencore.
Vencore is working out the details of the transition at Vencore Labs including the appointment of a successor to lead the organization, Â a spokesperson for the Chantilly, Va.-based contractor told GovCon Wire.
Before he joined Vencore in December 2014, Omick previously held the president and CEO roles at digital signal processing technology and engineering firm Rincon Research.
