Stephen Steinour
Stephen Steinour, president and CEO of bank holding company Huntington Bancshares, has joined the board of directors of Battelle.
He started his career at the Department of the Treasury as an analyst and subsequently worked at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Battelle saidTuesday.
Steinour came to Huntington Bancshares in 2009 after service as managing partner at CrossHarbor Capital Partners. He previously held leadership positions at Citizens Financial Group, Bank of New England and Fleet Financial Group.
“Steve is a great leader in the Columbus business community and also understands its philanthropic needs,” said Lou Von Thaer, president and CEO at Battelle and a 2020 Wash100 awardee.
“We look forward to his insightful contributions as we execute on our business and philanthropic missions."
Steinour is vice chair of the Ohio Business Roundtable and Columbus Downtown Development Corp.
He serves on the boards of Exelon and L Brands and is a member of the Bank Policy Institute membership and the Columbus Partnership's executive committee. Steinour is also a trustee of Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center.
