The order is for 517 Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Trucks and Heavy Equipment Transporters to support cargo transport, vehicle recovery and resupply operations by Kuwait’s land forces, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Thursday.
DSCA added that the sale will encompass fuel tanker trucks, guided-missile transporter trucks, commercial trailers and palletized load system trailers and flat racks.
The proposed FMS deal includes a requirement to deploy up to 15 contractor personnel to provide training, fleet support, program management and facility construction oversight services to Kuwait over a five-year period.
Fontaine Trailers and Etnyre will be the subcontractors for commercial 635NL trailers and trailer flat racks, respectively, if the agreement is implemented, according to DSCA.
