The government of Poland’s potential $1.2 billion acquisition of airspace and surface radar reconnaissance aerostat systems has been approved by the U.S. Department of State.
The prime contractors of the deal will be Raytheon , an RTX (NYSE: RTX) company, aerostat maker TCOM , ELTA North America and Avantus Federal , a subsidiary of QinetiQ Group , the Defense Security Cooperation Agency announced Wednesday.
Aside from ASRR aerostat systems, the order also includes airborne early warning radars with identification of friend or foe system and fiber optic and powered tethered mooring systems.
