StandardAero to Repair Air Force T56 Engine Parts Under Potential $380M Contract

StandardAero, a portfolio company of Veritas Capital, has received a potential $379.9 million contract to repair T56 aircraft engine parts for the U.S. Air Force.

The Defense Department said Friday the firm-fixed-price contract covers depot-level overhaul and repair services for T56 series 3.0 and 3.5 engine and component parts.

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center received one offer for the contract and the service branch will obligate $679,274 in fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.

T-56 engines are manufactured by Rolls-Royce and designed to power the Air Force’s C-130 military transport aircraft fleet.
