Jeffrey Harris, a more than 40-year space industry veteran and chairman of D-Wave Systems‘ government arm, has joined the advisory board at Peraton.

Ive had the pleasure of working with Jeff over the past 25 years in a variety of roles and have been consistently impressed by his deep understanding of our nations critical intelligence needs, and how he has fostered new technologies, programs and capabilities that have contributed significantly to U.S. national security capabilities, said Stu Shea, Peraton president and CEO.
“Jeffs strategic counsel will be invaluable as we continue to expand our mission partnerships in the space, intelligence, and cyber markets,” added Shea, a 2018 Wash100 recipient, added.
Harris previously led the space and missiles and special programs businesses at Lockheed Martin and commercial satellite imagery provider Space Imaging as president.
His government career has included time as director of the National Reconnaissance Office; assistant secretary for space at the U.S. Air Force; and associate executive director of the Intelligence Community Management Staff.
He also currently chairs the U.S. Geospatial Intelligence Foundation and the Open Geospatial Consortium, as well as serves on the U.S. Energy Security Council and the Strategic Command’s advisory group.
