The Space Systems Command has issued a request for proposals for a potential five-year, $950 million contract to procure data software services for the U.S. Space Force’s data management requirements.
A solicitation notice posted Tuesday says the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract calls for a selected vendor to deploy data-as-a-service software in government-approved environments and integrate data from government-identified data sources into the DaaS platform.
The command expects the DaaS platform to offer enterprise data storage and management tools that could operate in secure environments and deliver data products and analytics to the broader space community.
The contractor should install, maintain and configure the platform in an on-premise or a cloud computing environment at the Unclassified, Secret, Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Program levels.
According to the statement of work, deliverables under the IDIQ contract include software licenses for DaaS; software installation and management; data connections, ingestion and integration; product configuration and analytical views; user training and feedback sessions; and accreditation support.
