The U.S. Space Force has released a request for proposals for a potential $99.57 million contract to provide repair, maintenance and modernization support for aging facilities, real property and equipment in support of Western Range operations, tests and launch missions at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.
The Launch Operations Support Contract seeks to ensure the readiness of facilities and equipment for space, ballistic missile, guided weapons and aircraft test and evaluation missions in support of defense, intelligence and federal civilian agencies, according to a solicitation notice posted Thursday.
The LOSC indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract covers program management, operations and maintenance and repair services. Under program management, services include launch readiness, business approach, financial management, safety, security, environmental and quality management support, according to the performance work statement.
The contractor will oversee planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance and carry out configuration changes to systems and facilities to achieve operational availability for mission success.
The service branch will accept questions on the final RFP no later than Jan. 4.
Proposals are due Jan. 27.
