Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX), Collins Aerospace and Interstate Electronics have won positions on a potential $552.6M contract from the U.S. Space Force to design and build miniature serial interface receivers for military GPS users equipment.
Contract work also involves the integration of MGUE MSI Increment 2 with an application-specific integrated circuit, the Department of Defense said Friday.
The service branch seeks to facilitate the production of military code-enabled receiver products for service applications outlined in the project’s capability development document and platforms designed to support positioning navigation and timing functions.
USSF’s Space and Missile Systems Center is obligating $32M in fiscal 2020 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.
Work under the contracts will take place at locations in Iowa and California, through Sept. 30, 2025.
