SOS International has merged into a single group its intelligence solutions and defense information technology business units as part of a reorganization effort.
Ed Bachl, formerly CEO and co-founder of Vykin, will oversee the newly combined defense and intelligence solutions group as senior vice president, SOSi said Thursday.
SOSi’s defense and intelligence solutions group integrates the company’s information operations, technical collection and intelligence analytic capabilities with cybersecurity, engineering and mission IT expertise and supports various programs within the Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense. Those include the Pentagon’s Mission Partner Environment and the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Solutions for Intelligence Analysis initiative.
“The lines between analytic services and technologies are continuously blurring as more defense and intelligence customers adopt and deploy cloud, machine learning, and artificial intelligence solutions enterprise-wide,” said Julian Setian, president and CEO of SOSi and a 2020 Wash100 Award winner. “As a bold and agile organization, we are adapting our business structure to align with the operational and procurement strategy shifts exhibited by our customer in the defense and intelligence markets.”
Christopher Alligood, a U.S. Army veteran with over two decades of industry and government experience, has been promoted to VP of SOSI’s intelligence solutions division as part of the reorganization. He will manage the growth and delivery of the company’s technical and analytic platforms to IC clients.
