Tim Karaca has taken on the role of senior VP and chief financial officer at SolarWinds

SolarWinds Promotes Tim Karaca to CFO

SolarWinds has appointed Tim Karaca, a more than two-decade finance leader, as senior vice president and chief financial officer.

The company said Tuesday the promotion of Karaca, most recently group VP for strategic finance and investor relations, took effect Monday, June 16.

“Tim’s significant strengths in strategy, capital allocation, and operating discipline are critical to our growth-focused partnership with Turn/River Capital,” said Sudhakar Ramakrishna, president and CEO of SolarWinds. “There is no one better suited to serve as CFO as we embark on this next chapter.”

In April, private equity firm Turn/River Capital closed its $4.4 billion acquisition of SolarWinds, turning the IT management software provider into a privately held company.

“It’s been incredibly rewarding to help SolarWinds prepare for what’s next. I’m proud to be part of a leadership team focused on creating long-term value for our investors and driving innovation in today’s market with our customers, partners, and employees,” Karaca said.

Who Is the New CFO of SolarWinds?

Karaca has over 20 years of senior finance leadership experience within Wall Street and the technology industry.

In 2022, he joined SolarWinds as group VP responsible for leading cross-functional teams spanning strategic finance, investor relations, analytics and data science; providing financial direction; and helping the company expand its market presence and drive growth and profitability.

Prior to SolarWinds, he was VP and head of strategic finance at property management firm Mynd.

The newly appointed CFO held senior finance roles at several companies, including Bridgewater Associates, Strategic Insight, AIG and Microsoft.
