Skip Maselli Named US Public Sector VP at Pixxel

Skip Maselli, a more than 35-year intelligence and defense industry leader, has joined space data company Pixxel as vice president of public sector business in the U.S.

He will report to Aakash Parekh, chief commercial officer of Pixxel, and oversee the development and execution of the company’s strategy to advance growth initiatives in the U.S. market, the company said Thursday.

Maselli brings to the role over three decades of experience as a business and technology leader in the defense, intelligence and commercial sectors.

His industry career includes leadership roles at several GovCon companies, including Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), Maxar Technologies (NYSE: MAXR) and Raytheon. He has led programs focused on developing commercial space and aerial multispectral and synthetic aperture radar technologies to support national security missions and environmental monitoring and mitigation efforts.

Pixxel is establishing a constellation of hyperspectral Earth imaging satellites and developing analytical tools designed to glean insights from data to support various use cases across public sector, agriculture, energy and other sectors.
