Octo Consulting Group has appointed Simon Godwin, a certified project management professional, as vice president of federal civilian programs, and Craig Summers, formerly VP of technology at CollabraLink Technologies, as VP for commerce accounts.
Mehul Sanghani, CEO and founder of Octo, said in a statement published Thursday Godwin and Summers both have public sector experience and would help the company develop new platforms designed to support federal agencies information technology modernization needs.
Prior to Octo, Godwin previously held senior leadership roles at Pyramid Systems, Maximus (NYSE: MMS), AECOMs (NYSE: ACM) URS subsidiary, Sapient, Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) and L3 Technologies (NYSE: LLL) with experience in supporting civilian programs including the ePassport project at the State Department.
He is an Amazon Web Services business professional and a former partner at the American Council for Technology-Industry Advisory Council.
Summers is a 25-year IT and finance professional who served in senior executive positions at several companies such as Maximus federal business, Acentia, AmeriChoice, Pepco Energy Services and Columbia Energy Group.
