Lockheed Martin ‘s (NYSE: LMT) Sikorsky subsidiary will engineer, analyze and test H-60 Black Hawk utility helicopters for the U.S. Army under a five-year, $90.7 million contract.
The cost-plus-fixed-fee contract also covers technical support for the H-60 military transport aircraft product line, the Department of Defense said Monday.
Army Contracting Command received one bid for the procurement effort via an online solicitation and will provide funds and performance locations with each order.
The branch uses H-60 to carry personnel and cargo in various missions such as command and control, aeromedical evacuation and special operations.
According to Lockheed, more than 4,000 Black Hawk helicopters are in service across the globe.
