Shefali Shah
Shefali Shah, formerly a senior vice president at helicopter operator and transport provider Era Group, will officially join Avaya on Dec. 18 as SVP, chief administrative officer and general counsel.
She will serve on Avaya’s executive committee and oversee global law and human resources departments in her new position, the company said Wednesday.
Jim Chirico, Avaya president and CEO, said the company will look to Shah’s previous experience helping multiple companies transition from private to public ownership as Avaya seeks to navigate the same restructuring process.
She concurrently served as SVP, general counsel and corporate secretary at Era and previously held senior management roles at telecommunications software maker Comverse Technology.
Earlier in her career, Shah worked as a corporate associate at law firms Weil, Gotshal & Manges and Hutchins, Wheeler & Dittmar.
