Shaun Swartz has been appointed vice president of defense at Unissant, where he will oversee the company’s Department of War growth strategy.

What Will Swartz Focus On at Unissant?

Unissant said Thursday Swartz will help strengthen partnerships across the defense ecosystem and guide customers in advancing capabilities from pilot efforts to operational deployment. His appointment aligns with Unissant’s focus on scaling its national security portfolio and supporting mission-ready technology innovation.

“Shaun’s experience across defense organizations and the broader GovCon ecosystem will strengthen how we grow and how we support defense missions,” said Sumeet Shrivastava, CEO of Unissant. “He brings the leadership, market insight, and mission understanding to help drive the next phase of our growth in this space.”

Who Is Shaun Swartz?

Swartz is a growth leader and business development executive with extensive experience in government contracting. He maintains a track record of more than $1 billion in federal contract wins and $709 million in delivered revenue, including awards ranging from $1 million to $400 million across the Department of War, the intelligence community, the Department of Homeland Security, and federal civilian markets.

“Shaun brings a deep understanding of defense missions and a strong track record of building high-performing teams and growth strategies in this space,” said Alka Bhave, chief operating officer and national security general manager at Unissant.

What Roles Has Swartz Held Previously?

Before joining Unissant, Swartz served as senior vice president of growth at Red Cedar Consultancy. He also held leadership positions at SAIC, RIVA Solutions, SOS International and American Systems. He also served in the Air Force for 13 years.
