Shaun Bierweiler, vice president and general manager of Cloudera Government Solutions U.S. Public Sector, will be featured as a moderator during the Potomac Officers Clubs 2019 Data Management Forumon April 10th at the 2941 Restaurant in Falls Church, Va.
During the forum, GovCon leaders from the public and private sector will address the major challenges in the data management field. These include organizing, cleaning and tagging data as well as recruiting top talent internationally.
Bierweiler joined Cloudera in January 2019. He also serves as the vice president of the U.S. Public Sector for Hortonworks and as president of Hortonworks Federal since November 2016.
He also served as the director of the Navy/USMC/COCOM Business for Red Hat from June 2013 to June 2015 and then as the director of sales for Federal Systems Integrators and the Department of Defense until November 2016. Bierweiler spent eight years serving Raytheon Intelligence and Information Systems in a variety of leadership positions.
Bierweiler has been a member of the AFCEA International Technology Committee since 2017. He earned his bachelors degree, cum laude, in computer engineering from the University of Florida and an MBA in management and corporate strategy from the University of Maryland – Robert H. Smith School of Business.
