Sharon O’Malley Burg, a federal information technology industry veteran and business consultancy executive, has joined the board of advisers of Reston, Virginia-based IT systems integrator Intelligent Waves.
O’Malley Burg brings three decades of industry experience to IW’s board and will support its growth and market expansion initiatives, the company said Tuesday.
She is the CEO of O’Malley Burg Consulting, an advisory business she also established in 2004 to assist companies in pursuing business opportunities in the government sector.
Her career also includes business development work with Perot Systems, AMS and EDS. O’Malley Burg serves as a board member at various cyber, robotics and IT companies in the U.S., as well as with nonprofit organizations.
She is also a recipient of multiple awards such as the Washington Business Journal’s Woman Business Leader of the Year and the Air Force Honorary Commander Emeritus title.
