Sean Berg, formerly vice president of sales at Forcepoint‘s global governments business, has been appointed as senior VP and general manager of the same unit.
Forcepoint said Wednesday Berg will oversee the unit’s profit-and-loss functions, growth strategy and efforts to provide security technology platforms to U.S. and international government customers.
Berg joined Forcepoint in May as sales VP after he previously served as public sector VP at Polycom.
He held various sales leadership roles at Dell, such as executive director for defense and intelligence sales; executive director for enterprise solutions at the company’s U.K. arm; and sales operations director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Berg served in the U.S. Marine Corps for six years as an infantry officer.
