Sealing Technologies, a Columbia, Maryland-based research, engineering and integration services provider, will transition the Operational Data Integrated Network deployment kit to the production phase under a potential five-year, $89 million other transaction agreement with the U.S. Navy.
SealingTech said Tuesday it developed ODIN under an OTA with the Information Warfare Research Project to meet the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic’s requirements for a platform that could bring cloud-like capability to the tactical edge, support the deployment of virtualized software platforms and modernize hardware of off-board mission systems.
The company is working with SRC to provide technical, sustainment engineering and logistical support to NIWC Atlantic and advance the production of the ODIN deployment kit to meet the Department of Defense’s need for portable data processing capabilities.
“This award provides SealingTech a flagship opportunity to produce our portable, modular, and tactical platform to the warfighter, and it is an honor,” said Ed Sealing, founder and CEO of SealingTech. “We have enjoyed building a relationship with NIWC Atlantic through the prototype phase and welcome the opportunity to expand this relationship and work to ensure the DoD maintains its critical operational availability.”
