SDA said the request for proposal notice, posted on SAM.gov Friday, focuses on the Gamma variant for the Advanced Fire Control Program.
Procuring Gamma Space Vehicles
The agency aims to purchase 10 T2TL Gamma space vehicles with a payload intended to close future kill chains. The Gamma variant is designed with advanced fire control capabilities while still featuring baseline characteristics with the Alpha and Beta variants.
SDA anticipates awarding the contract to a single vendor, depending on the available funding. The agency reserves the right to either make no awards or to issue a partial award for fewer than 10 space vehicles.
Interested vendors may send in their responses to the RFP until April 22.
The AFC program provides prototypes that can be utilized or applied to real-world operations. It also delivers integrated ground systems to provide valuable information and influence future tranches. AFC prototypes can potentially be integrated into Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture operational architecture.
