Scott Baum, a former Department of Defense official, has joined Elbit Systems ’ (Nasdaq: ESLT) U.S. subsidiary as vice president of strategy and growth , Inside Defense reported Wednesday.

Baum most recently served as acting deputy assistant secretary of defense and principal director of industrial policy at DoD. He was director of the office of commercial and economic analysis at the U.S. Air Force and served in the U.S. Army as a commissioned officer.
His industry career included roles in corporate strategy, network engineering and planning at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) and AT&T (NYSE: T).
