TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 10, 2018 ” Saudi Arabia’s Defense Minister Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has toured Lockheed Martin™s (NYSE: LMT) Sunnyvale, California, facility that houses the company’s satellite programs and missile defense technology, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.
Lockheed said Friday the visit included a walk-through of a test facility where the company currently builds Arabsat-6A and Hellas-Sat-4/SaudiGeoSat-1 communications satellites as part of a 2015 contract from Saudi Arabia-based operator Arabsat and the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology.
Marillyn Hewson, CEO of Lockheed and a 2018 Wash100 recipient, said the defense minister met with Saudi and Lockheed engineers working on satellite assembly, integration and test activities.
