TYSONS CORNER, VA, April 21, 2020 — SAP National Security Services has provided a $20K donation to the Foundation for Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia to obtain equipment and supplies for distance learning transition efforts amid the COVID-19 pandemic, ExecutiveBiz reported April 8.
SAP NS2 said April 6 the money will go towards FCPS’ Access for All Fund, which seeks to provide educational items and connectivity devices for local students in need.
“There’s never been a more critical time for business leaders to step up to help narrow the digital divide for these young learners,” said Mark Testoni, CEO of SAP NS2 and a 2020 Wash100 winner. “No matter where we do business, there’s a technology gap between the ‘haves’ and the ‘have nots’ in our own backyards.”
The company also made a $10K monthly pledge to food banks located within employees’ areas of residence.
