Brundidge discussed how a unified system like Salesforce Customer 360 could help DOD oversee all aspects of an employee’s career within the department through a single platform.
“This enables managers and employees to monitor and manage progress from recruitment through training and professional development, through assignment and position changes, and ultimately through separation or retirement. It enables DOD to manage personnel in a smarter, faster and more cost-effective way,” he wrote.
Brundidge discussed how Tableau’s data visualization and management platform and MuleSoft’s data processing and integration tool could further support DOD managers in transforming the way they manage personnel.
He also mentioned how artificial intelligence and analytics could help Pentagon leaders modernize the employee experience.
“Using a robust and enhanced artificial intelligence capability, leaders can track factors that affect the employee experience, such as performance, conduct and disciplinary problems, and why and when people decide to leave DOD. The insights from AI and analytics empower leaders to proactively address issues and improve employee quality of life, mission effectiveness and retention,” Brundidge said.
He also stressed the importance of safeguarding data as agencies work to advance talent management modernization efforts.
