Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) has secured a position on a potential five-year, $248M contract to support the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp.'s information technology operations.
SAIC said Tuesday the multiple-award contract includes work to help PBGC manage and update IT platforms as well as support services for the agency's SharePoint collaboration software suite.
“Our emphasis on the customer experience of the end-user is foundational to our support for our clients," said Bob Genter, executive vice president and general manager of SAIC's civilian markets customer group.
Genter added the company will work to provide IT platforms and services to support PBGC in retirement income protection efforts.
SAIC is one of the three awardees in the contract and uses a U-Centric approach to support customers.
