TYSONS CORNER, VA, Sept. 21, 2017 Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) will proceed to the production and deployment phase of the U.S. Marine Corps‘ Assault Amphibious Vehicle survivability upgrade program after getting clearance from the program executive officer for land systems, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.
The company said Tuesday the Marine Corps exercised a low-rate initial production option as part of the Milestone C decision for the delivery of 25 AAV SU vehicles to undergo operational test and evaluation then initial fielding to expeditionary units.
