Ryan Smith, a defense industry veteran, has been named CEO of Fincantieri’s marine systems business for North America.
“Ryan brings years of experience and strong leadership, after leading major repair and maintenance projects supporting the U.S. Navy,” Dario Deste, president and CEO of Fincantieri Marine Group, said in a statement published Friday.
He brings to the role over 15 years of program management, engineering, lifecycle consulting and waterfront management experience. He previously worked at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) and BAE Systems.
Fincantieri Marine Systems North America provides marine propulsion components and systems support, total ship sustainment, engineering, maintenance and training services to the Department of Defense.
