He succeeds the retiring Stephen Timm and will report to RTX President and CEO Christopher Calio, the company said Wednesday.
“Having led three of the six strategic business units at Collins Aerospace, Troy has a deep understanding of the portfolio and its customers,” said Calio. “Troy’s decades of industry experience and leadership make him the right person to lead Collins into its next phase of growth.”
Brunk most recently served as president of Collins Aerospace’s mission systems strategic business unit, which is responsible for delivering government, military and civil platforms to customers worldwide.
His career at Collins Aerospace included time as head of the avionics and interiors strategic business units.
Stephen Timm to Serve as Special Adviser
Timm, a 28-year Collins Aerospace veteran, will stay with the company through March 2025 to serve as a special adviser with a focus on driving business transformation efforts.
He has been at the helm of Collins Aerospace since 2020, playing a key role in overseeing the business through the global pandemic.

Prior to this role, she was chief operating officer for the business unit.
