TYSONS CORNER, VA, Aug. 23, 2017 Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) CEO Roger Krone has said the company is working with nonprofit organizations such as the Chris Atwood Foundation and government units such as the Drug Enforcement Agency in efforts to address the issue of opioid drug abuse, GovCon Executive reported Monday.
Krone, an inductee into Executive Mosaics Wash100 for 2017, wrote in an article published Aug. 15 that the growing number of cases of deaths associated with opioid drug use has resulted in an urgent health crisis in the U.S. that calls for action across sectors.
“[We] hope to leverage our technology and our business relationships to create practical solutions that help address the problem head-on,” Krone said.
“We believe education is the key, and that awareness and prevention are deeply intertwined.”
