Rod Phillips Promoted to By Light Chief Learning Officer

Rod Phillips, formerly vice president of operations at McLean, Va.-based By Light Professional IT Services, has been promoted to chief learning officer.

He will come up and implement an educational and learning initiative to help expand the capabilities of the company™s employees as well as oversee training, processes and standards in support of the firm™s strategic objectives, By Light said Thursday.

Phillips, a retired U.S. Army colonel, joined By Light in 2006 and since then has managed the company™s programs with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and Army Materiel Command.

Prior to By Light, he spent nearly three decades in the Army, where he served as chief information officer/G6 for 1st Corps at Fort Lewis in Washington.
