Rocky Thurston, former head of Peraton‘s citizen security and public services sector, has been named chief operating officer at Bethesda, Maryland-based digital services provider DMI
Thurston brings his more than two decades of industry experience in business development, capture management, merger-and-acquisition areas to a role responsible for driving DMI’s federal and commercial market growth strategy, the company said Wednesday.
His appointment to the COO position comes less than three months after DMI received an investment from private equity firm OceanSound Partners. He previously held leadership positions at Perspecta, Accenture (NYSE: ACN), Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and AT&T (NYSE: T).
“Rocky is a seasoned leader who is uniquely qualified to align our world-class teams and delivery with industry-leading operational practices to accelerate the next-generation of DMI’s market leadership,” noted Sunny Bajaj, founder and CEO of DMI.
