Robert Smith, executive vice president for marine systems segment at General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), will serve as acting president of the Reston, Virginia-based defense contractor’s Bath Iron Works subsidiary until a permanent replacement is appointed, WMTW reported Friday.
His appointment came after Dirk Lesko, president of Bath Iron Works since 2016, stepped down from his post after three decades of service with the company.
