Rob Smith, a more than 25-year sales, marketing and management consulting veteran in the technology industry, has joined Pegasystems as vice president of U.S. public sector sales, GovConWire has learned.
He oversees teams responsible for helping defense, intelligence, federal civilian and state and local government agencies achieve their mission outcomes and objectives through transformative digital platforms.
Smith brings to the role years of experience leading programs spanning artificial intelligence, machine learning, content management, digital transformation and customer relationship management, among other areas.
He most recently served as head of solution sales at digital transformation firm Celerity, which was acquired by Ausy Group. He previously led Iron Mountains (NYSE: IRM) government solutions division and held leadership roles at Arcemus, Verisign (Nasdaq: VRSN), PwC and EY.
Cambridge, Mass.-based Pegasystems provides CRM, robotic automation and other tech platforms to federal agencies in support of their digital transformation initiatives.
