Rob Rogers Assumes New Responsibilities as OSIbeyond’s Chief Operating Officer

OSIbeyond has appointed longtime executive Rob Rogers as chief operating officer.

What Are Rob Rogers’ New Responsibilities as COO?

The Rockville, Maryland-based managed IT and cybersecurity services provider said Wednesday that Rogers will oversee all service delivery functions, including support and engineering operations, and scale teams to meet rising customer needs.

He will report to OSIbeyond President and CEO Payam Pourkhomami.

“This promotion is a pivotal step in supporting OSIbeyond’s ongoing growth and our expansion into the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance offerings,” Pourkhomami stated.

Who Is Rob Rogers?

Rogers joined OSIbeyond in 2014 as vice president of technical services. He became a partner in 2020 and most recently served as chief experience officer.

His career also includes positions at Johns Hopkins Department of Medicine, Anne Arundel County Public Schools and Daly Computers.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in IT.

OSIbeyond Achieves CMMC Level 2 Certification

The company announced in April 2025 that it secured CMMC Level 2 certification following a thorough review by Edwards Performance Solutions, a third-party assessment organization.

Level 2 certification ensures the Department of War that an organization can safeguard controlled unclassified information and requires the implementation of all 110 security controls outlined in the National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publication 800-171.

OSIbeyond provides managed IT, cloud, cybersecurity and technology strategy services to commercial clients within the defense industrial base. Because CMMC Level 2 compliance is a mandatory requirement for contractors handling CUI, the certification positions OSIbeyond to support government contractors pursuing or maintaining eligibility for DOW opportunities.
