TYSONS CORNER, VA, Aug. 29, 2016 ” Davis Johnson, vice president of Riverbed Technology‘s U.S. public sector business, has said government agencies face a challenge in updating legacy information technology systems to address cybersecurity and operational issues, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.
Johnson told Nextgov in an interview published Tuesday the risk in legacy IT lies in the decentralized infrastructure, which puts the network at risk of potential attack or failure.
“Citizen services need to evolve quickly because the world has gotten to a place where the consumer of government services is expecting to get to, ” he said in the interview.
