Rick Hanson, a nearly 30-year security and information technology veteran, has been named president of Delinea, which offers privileged access management software to the government and enterprise sectors.
The Certified Information Systems Security Professional succeeds James Legg, who will retire from Delinea after a seven-year career, and will be responsible for leading global go-to-market strategies and initiatives, the company said Wednesday.
Hanson moves to Delinea from network security provider Onapsis, where he most recently served as chief operating officer. His industry experience has also included time as chief revenue officer at Brightcove and go-to-market leadership roles at CA Technologies, Hewlett-Packard, Symantec and RSA.
Earlier in his career, Hanson held a communications role at the U.S. Air Force and worked as an IT director at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
He concurrently serves on the board of directors of the Advanced Cyber Security Center and the advisory board of cyber-intelligence data provider Smart Hive.
Delinea, which launched in April 2021 upon the merger of Thycotic and Centrify, designed its platform to help government and commercial customers protect critical data, devices and cloud infrastructure.
