He will oversee the professional services business and directly report to Bob Kocher, founder and CEO of I3, the company said Monday.
Kocher said Syretz will help expand the company’s client base and drive new projects in the coming year.
In his COO role, Syretz led corporate strategy, had profit-and-loss responsibility and oversaw daily operations. He joined I3 in 2008 and served as chief financial officer.
Before I3, the executive was director of finance for the defense business unit of URS. He also held finance leadership positions at Raytheon.
Established in 1998, I3 provides biometrics, forensics and science and technology platforms and services for defense, intelligence and law enforcement agency clients.
