Comtech Telecommunications(Nasdaq: CMTL) has appointed Richard Swardh, Jeff Harig and Steve Good as senior vice presidents for three different vertical market areas at the company’s Comtech EF Data subsidiary.
Swardh, Harig and Good will respectively lead the unit’s mobile network operator, government systems and premium enterprise businesses, the company said Thursday.
John Branscum, president of Comtech EF Data, said the organization formed internal business verticals to support customer needs through market-specific satellite communications services.
Swardh joined the subsidiary in October last year as VP of market development after he previously led business development, partnership management and strategy execution functions at Ericsson.
Harig has held executive management, business development, software design and hardware engineering roles during his career with Comtech EF Data as well as worked at General Dynamics (NYSE:GD) and McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Co.
Good previously led marketing and sales engineering functions at Comtech EF Data in a VP role.
Before that, he worked in senior management, marketing, product management and engineering positions at satellite communications firms Intelsat (NYSE:I), Verestar, Viacast and Hughes Network Systems.
Tempe, Arizona-based Comtech EF Data, part of Comtech’s commercial solutions segment, offers heights networking platform, very small aperture terminals, satellite modems, RAN and WAN optimization, network and bandwidth management and radio frequency products.
