Richard Coleman, former senior vice president and general manager of the federal sector at Axon (Nasdaq: AXON), has taken on a new role as president of the public safety technology provider’s federal business.
He will oversee Axon Federal’s business performance and growth initiatives across federal law enforcement and military markets, according to his LinkedIn.
Scottsdale, Arizona-based Axon develops body cameras, electroshock weapons and other public safety technologies for military and law enforcement agencies.
Coleman joined Axon in 2018 from General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), where he held various leadership positions.
At General Dynamics’ mission systems business, he served as VP of law enforcement systems and as director of public safety programs. He also worked at the aerospace and defense contractor’s C4 systems segment as space ground system capture and business development manager.
Coleman sits on the boards of the Border Security Technology Consortium and the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
