Jeanette Manfra
Jeanette Manfra, a senior cybersecurity official at the Department of Homeland Security, will join Google‘s (Nasdaq: GOOGL) cloud business in January as global director of security and compliance, CyberScoop reported Wednesday.
The report said Manfra will help spearhead a Google initiative aimed at helping customer secure cloud-based systems and services.
Her move to rejoin the private sector comes after the technology company received Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program High authorization for its cloud platform.
Manfra is the assistant director for cybersecurity at DHS’ Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. Before that, she held the roles of counselor to the DHS secretary, director of critical infrastructure cybersecurity and deputy director for enterprise performance management and emergency communications.
She joined the department in 2010 after three years at Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) as associate.
Bryan Ware – assistant secretary for cyber, infrastructure and resilience policy at DHS – will succeed Manfra when she leaves CISA, the report noted.
