Report: Carlyle Group Close to Sealing StandardAero Acquisition Deal

The Carlyle Group (Nasdaq: CG) is close to finalizing a deal worth more than $5B to buy StandardAero from Veritas Capital, Reuters reported Tuesday.

Scottsdale, Ariz.-based StandardAero offers aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul support services to clients in military, general aviation and commercial sectors.

Sources told Reuters the transaction could be disclosed as soon as this week.

Veritas Capital purchased StandardAero from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise in July 2015 for approximately $2.1B.
