Swami Swaminathan has been promoted to the chief executive officer role at Reli Group, where he formerly served as a chief information officer for more than five years.
Swaminathan, who has also served as acting CEO since July, will be responsible for overseeing Reli’s delivery and operational areas in his full-time position, the health information technology consulting company said Tuesday.
He succeeds former CEO Mohammad Elias, who will focus on his role as president with responsibility over corporate strategy and an incubator program.
Prior to joining Reli in 2017, Swaminathan was the executive vice president and chief solutions officer of NewWave Telecom & Technologies.
He previously held a short stint as a health IT program manager at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) and, before that, served as senior solution delivery manager.
Swaminathan spent three years on the technical review board for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and 13 years at financial services company Aegon.
