Private equity firm-backed space company Redwire has bought Longmont, Colorado-based small satellite hardware manufacturer Roccor for an undisclosed sum.
Redwire said Thursday the deal marks its fourth acquisition this year and comes four months after it was formed by AE Industrial Partners through the merger of Deep Space Systems and Adcole Space.
Roccor manufactures smallsat components such as antennas, thermal systems, solar arrays, structures and booms for both the defense and commercial sectors.
The company’s technologies are being used on NASA and Department of Defense missions.
PwC and Kirkland & Ellis respectively served as financial and legal advisers to Redwire, while Sparks Willson acted as legal adviser to Roccor and Near Earth as its financial adviser.
