Tom Vecchiolla, a 15-year veteran of Raytheon (NYSE: RTN), has been appointed president and CEO of engineering services contractor VT Systems in a move slated to take effect Dec. 1.
He will succeed John Coburn, who has led VT Systems over the past 17 years and will remain as its non-executive chairman, the company said Monday.

Before he established Artisan, he was president of Raytheon’s international business from May 2014 to August 2017 and held business development leadership roles there for 12 years.
He spent more than two decades in the U.S. Navy, where he served as a naval aviator and an acquisition professional.
