Harris has more than three decades of board experience in the technology, nonprofit and business sectors and his leadership skills will serve as a complement to Cisco’s strategy, the company said Thursday.
Most recently, he served as Raytheon's vice president of business development and as CEO of its international segment where he oversaw government relations, sales and marketing.
His career at the Waltham, Massachusetts-based company has included other leadership roles within its electronic systems, government and defense, technical services and intelligence, information and services businesses.
He also served on the Department of Commerce’s National Advisory Council on Minority Business Enterprise, the RTCA NextGen Advisory Committee and the Association of the U.S. Army’s Council of Trustees.
