TYSONS CORNER, VA, Feb. 13, 2017 Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) and Utilidata have entered into a strategic alliance in an effort to develop electrical grid platforms that work to identify, protect against and respond to cyber threats, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.
The collaboration looks to incorporate Utilidata’s cyber attack detection and response experience with Raytheon’s cyber threat automation and managed security services to provide cybersecurity and analytics support for power utility providers, Raytheon said Wednesday.
Dave Wajsgras, president of Raytheon’s intelligence, information and services sector, said the alliance will support Raytheon’s efforts to expand into the critical infrastructure sector as well as provide defense-grade cybersecurity services to power utilities.
